There is nothing quite like harvesting potatoes. It’s like the marriage of an easter-egg hunt and a treasure hunt. You find yourself elbow deep in soil rooting around hoping to find the buried produce and making sure you’ve not left any of the magical little rhizomes in the ground. We trialled Dutch Creamers and Desirees at EF this year and we managed a yield of about 15kgs. Not great. But not bad. We will try again next year.
